Tech task 3+4 (11) This week for the extra tasks I tried using google reverse image search which is actually a really cool and useful tool that google offers and the second task I did was the google timer one. I was catching up on assignments this week and the google timer helped me keep track of taking breaks every once in a while whielst I was doing project work such as editing the video for documentary film making. The reverse Image search tool is really useful to find the original image from something and it's a great way to gather more information with whatever image you are searching with as similar images will be searched.
Unity Tutorial 10 - My Experience My video of my the tutorial This was a fairly fun tutorial as it gave me knowledge to further improve my own game. Things that I got benefit from in this tutorial were the score system that we made. I think the score system with having the text ui on screen was a very good way of keeping the player informed of how well they were doing in the game. I will definitely be able to somehow put this tutorials in use for my game as I need a score system for my game so players can keep track of how many items they have collected when driving around the map. This tutorial will help me achieve just that and make my game better for the end result. In this tutorial the game we made felt fairly easy so I wish there was a way to make it more difficult. Maybe a way to make it more difficult would be to increase the amount of objects flying into the scene and make the penalty for hitting bad objects increase from -10 to -20. Other than that I feel this...
PROJECT PROGRESS AND PRESENTING MY GAME This week I finished building my game in unity. The process was a long few weeks but it is finally over and I have a finished game to show for it. The first week when I started on the game I had to create a document where I spoke about what I want my game to be about and I wrote about different styles/genres of games that I could make in unity. The next week I made a shorter but more refined document on my final game idea that I wanted to stick with where I chose to do an "Endless Runner" game. The week after that I went into detail about the game in a GDD or "Game Design Document". In this document I spoke about game physics, objects and other things about the game. Since the last blog post about my game I didn't change much in the game as I felt it was all already good enough I just made sure that there were no crazy bugs that would be annoying to deal with if you were the player. The game is playable in my opinion and u...
