 Assignments in Multimedia Development


In this blog post I would like to share my thoughts and opinions on this semesters way with assignments. I am very much appreciative of how the assignments work this semester because it gives me the freedom of doing them when I can and that I can get ahead of them if I really want to so that I would have less work to do in the future. I also like the concept of commenting because this allows other students to review your work and it will open your work to wider audience where you can receive helpful tips that you can apply to your future projects and assignments.What I also found interesting was the Wikipedia trails because it is a fun concept where you roam the Wikipedia of something that interests you and you can end up on something completely different and it creates an experience and it's a quick way to learn about different things that you might not have known about before. I also like that there is freedom of doing extra tasks which will result in bonus marks if you so desire to need them.

I like this quote because it is very true at the start learning is difficult but it get's easier too.

 BETA This week I made my game a bit better by giving it some life. I created a terrain that I was happy with after I searched for a youtube video that helped me create terrain. I really liked exploring and creating the terrain and wish I could have made the terrain in my game be more of thing everywhere on the map rather than having some flat paths. I also changed my car as I was running issues where it drove backwards when i wanted it go forward but when I changed to a different car that seemed to fix it.  My Introduction Hello. my name is Endijs Frisvalds, I am a second year student at TU Blanchardstown and I am studying creative digital media. I am 19 years old living in Clondalkin a good 2 hour bus ride away from college. In my free time I love going fishing or staying home and playing video games while my pet cat Simba sleeps in my bed doing whatever cats do. ( He sleeps a lot and I mean a lot ) My cat "Simba" I enjoy playing a variety of games that being story based or online co-cop mutliplayer. My favourite games from the last few years would be Red dead redemption 2, Genshin Impact and Rust.  Game Idea Research From my previous blog, I have given some thought on what I wanted to do. I decided to go with the following idea taken from my previous blog "For this idea I want the player to experience an open world like in GTA where you can drive around in the cars of your choice. In this game I want to create a map where there are coins or some thing scattered around the map. The map will have ramps and building with hidden coins. There will also be score which will award the player with coins currency which they can later use to get faster cars. An example of why you would want a faster car is not only because It's faster and cooler, but it will also allow player to get other coins that only a certain car can obtain. Let's say there is a ramp with a coin in the air. A slow car cannot reach the coin but a faster and better car can reach the coin. With the coins you can also customize whatever vehicle you have.
