Unity Tutorial 01 - My experience so far

Unity Tutorial 01 - My experience so far

In this tutorial I was using unity guides to create a scene where I learned how to use the different tools on unity. This was where I got familiar with using tools like placing obstacles and making a vehicle move and run into the said obstacles. On my journey through this unity tutorial I would say I had a fairly good experience that didn't involve me struggling much with the tasks. When I was following along with the tasks I didn't use the video feature much but I did use it at time where I wanted to make sure I did what I was supposed to the right way and it was a way for me to see if I had the same experience as the person making the video. In my opinion the tutorials are fairly easy to follow along. I enjoyed the process and was liking how everything I did had an impact on either the scene of my "game" or the functions it had on the vehicle and obstacles. Something I enjoyed doing was testing different mass sizes on the obstacle such as making it really heavy and making the vehicle run into it. After I had my fun I reset the weight to something I felt was a good estimate of the weight of the objects. I made the mass of the vehicle 1500 and the obstacle was 3. I also made a tower out of the obstacles where I copy and pasted the object a few times and stacked them on top of each other. The most complicated part of the whole tutorial was probably the coding and installation of the software I had to use because I was unfamiliar with these tools but in the end I managed to figure it out.

This is a picture taken of my screen and my unity hub. This is what my game looked like at the end of the tutorial. It also has a purple tint when the game is in testing mode. ( not shown in the picture )
