This is a image of my developing game.

As you can see the map has taken a much better turn from since last time. I think my game is progressing well. I am happy with the progress I am making because I feel the game I was going for is turning out to be a good choice as the previous tutorials have been a great help so far. I have hidden these yellow ball collectibles around the map and some can even be found on top of houses. When you drive into them they disappear which let's the player know that they have been collected. I have added trees from my prototype. I got assets for the homes and the car for free off of the unity store.

There is still a lot I want to do with the game before next week but I feel the basic premise of the game is there so I will keep working on it and making it better.

My plans for making the game better is by giving the player more ways to have fun within it rather than just driving around collecting the collectibles. I want to add terrain around the map with a few hills etc. To do this I need to do a bit of research on how to create custom terrain.

    Hi Endijs , I can see that you have made a great progress with your. game and you sound that you know what you are doing . It looks really good and the most important thing is that it is working the way you want or at least near to the way you want . I can make some suggestions , what if you download some free assets from Unity library for the environment of your game , I think it. would make your game look really cool and those assets are free anyway, i think it can make a nice edition to your game , but so far wish you all the best and I hope to play your game at the end of the semester.

    Hello, Endijs your game looks great, I like the concept of the game and I think it would be cool if you did add other things to do. There are videos on YouTube to make your own terrains but It might affect some aspects of your game. But I look forward to playing the finished game.

    Hi Endijs I really like your game it looks like you put so much work into it and looks very fun to play. I really like the colour scheme and also the landscape that you have created looks very professional with all of the houses and trees you have added. The colours are also very bright and intriguing. Overall I really like it and good luck with the rest of your game.

 BETA This week I made my game a bit better by giving it some life. I created a terrain that I was happy with after I searched for a youtube video that helped me create terrain. I really liked exploring and creating the terrain and wish I could have made the terrain in my game be more of thing everywhere on the map rather than having some flat paths. I also changed my car as I was running issues where it drove backwards when i wanted it go forward but when I changed to a different car that seemed to fix it.  My Introduction Hello. my name is Endijs Frisvalds, I am a second year student at TU Blanchardstown and I am studying creative digital media. I am 19 years old living in Clondalkin a good 2 hour bus ride away from college. In my free time I love going fishing or staying home and playing video games while my pet cat Simba sleeps in my bed doing whatever cats do.  Game Idea Research From my previous blog, I have given some thought on what I wanted to do. I decided to go with the following idea taken from my previous blog "For this idea I want the player to experience an open world like in GTA where you can drive around in the cars of your choice. In this game I want to create a map where there are coins or some thing scattered around the map. The map will have ramps and building with hidden coins. There will also be score which will award the player with coins currency which they can later use to get faster cars. An example of why you would want a faster car is not only because It's faster and cooler, but it will also allow player to get other coins that only a certain car can obtain. Let's say there is a ramp with a coin in the air. A slow car cannot reach the coin but a faster and better car can reach the coin. With the coins you can also customize whatever vehicle you have.
