 Game Design Document for 2D Game

Summary:

    Game Concept : The game concept is for the player to keep running in one direction and     to get a high score while trying to avoid things that will result in a game over.

    Genre : Endless Runner

    Target Audience : Any

Gameplay:

    Objectives: The objective of the game is very simple. The objective of the game is for        the player to get as far as possible into the game with 1 life while trying to avoid                   everything around them that can result in a game over screen. The players goal is to              achieve a high score and then try to beat it.

    Progression: The progression in the game will be very static as the objective is simply to     get a high score. The player can create their own difficulty when they blink they might         mess up. The player is in control as long as they pay attention and continue the game and     get a high score.

Mechanics:

    Rules: The rules of the game are simple. Play the game to your best ability. Avoid               obstacles or anything that gets on your way. Try to beat your high score

    Physics: The physics of the game are simple when the player collides with an object they     are not supposed to that will result in a game over. The player will run on ground which       they can touch without a game over as it is a solid floor that the player will stand on. The     player will be able to jump to avoid obstacles. Some objects may move up or down and        the player has to see if they need to jump or not.

Elements:

    Location: The location of the game will be in a dark surrounding almost like a dungeon        crawler type of game. The location will have spikes on the floor to resemble the                     dangerous of the dungeon.

    Level Design: There will be objects that spawn in as the game progresses that the player     has to jump over and avoid. Sometime the player won't have to jump but it's up to the           player to decide when it's necessary to avoid obstacles. 

Assets:

        Assets: Assets will be gathered from Unity store.
