READING 12 (BOOK)

My chapter in the book reflection

In this blog post I will go through the chapter that I did for the book we did as a class. The chapter that I decided to work on was called "How game help people find joy and fullfillment". Looking back now I should've done something that I could go into more detail about because the chapter ended up being fairly short but I still think it was a great chapter for what it was. I talked about why people feel happy while playing games and how it effects them. I also created a small illustration for my chapter which is an image that you'll see below this blog post. I personally had a hard time understanding the reading tasks for the book this semester as I felt they were very jumbled and I had to search for my own readings to do which made me unmotivated as I felt it was hard for me to be able to search for exactly that I needed and when I did search I always ended up finding useless information that may be false and misleading. I liked being able to talk about my chapter from personal and scientific points of views as these were facts. I couldn't find much information on my chapter as it was something that I could talk about myself other than the scientific explanation which I found a reference for.

 BETA This week I made my game a bit better by giving it some life. I created a terrain that I was happy with after I searched for a youtube video that helped me create terrain. I really liked exploring and creating the terrain and wish I could have made the terrain in my game be more of thing everywhere on the map rather than having some flat paths. I also changed my car as I was running issues where it drove backwards when i wanted it go forward but when I changed to a different car that seemed to fix it. Project "Game Brainstorm"

 Project "Game Brainstorm" As it currently stands I am not set on a game idea but hopefully by the end of this blog post I shall have come to a conclusion of what type of video game I want to make for my project. So for now I will be listing possible game ideas and I will talk about each idea and how I will interpret it. 4 Ideas that I have include : 1. A fishing game Yes this idea says fishing. It says fishing because I love doing it in real life especially going out on a boat and fishing. For this idea I wanted something basic where the mechanics aren't very complicated and the player can quickly understand what the goal of the game is.  My Introduction Hello. my name is Endijs Frisvalds, I am a second year student at TU Blanchardstown and I am studying creative digital media. I am 19 years old living in Clondalkin a good 2 hour bus ride away from college. In my free time I love going fishing or staying home and playing video games while my pet cat Simba sleeps in my bed doing whatever cats do. ( He sleeps a lot and I mean a lot ) My cat "Simba" I enjoy playing a variety of games that being story based or online co-cop mutliplayer. My favourite games from the last few years would be Red dead redemption 2, Genshin Impact and Rust. My future goals for my life would be firstly complete college and then get a job in an area that I enjoy. I enjoy graphic design and i enjoy taking picture but as of yet I am not set on an area yet because my choices may change and I think it's better that way.
